This list reflects some of the training workshops that we regularly offer:
1. Your Leadership Strengths
Participants in this workshop take an online survey prior to the conference to assess their leadership strengths. Based on the results, they learn their strengths – and areas of potential weakness – as leaders. At the workshop, they learn about four types of leaders, the characteristics of each, and the value of a balance approach to leadership. They hear stories and learn strategies for each of the four types to become more balanced leaders. They develop their own strategies for becoming more effective leaders. Time: 4-6 hours.
2. The Art of Managing Decisions
In this workshop, participants learn the five types of decisions and how to manage decisions effectively. They learn how complex decision processes work; how to clarify roles and responsibilities; and how to balance consensus vs. consultative decision making. Using simulated exercises, they learn how to manage decisions involving teams, boards, and individuals with varying levels of responsibility. Time: 4-6 hours.
3. Habits of High Performing Boards
This workshop focuses on the habits of effective boards of directors. Participants learn the evolution of non-profit boards, three models of board governance, and the five habits of highly effective boards. They assess the evolution of their own boards and define specific strategies for developing them into more effective boards. Time: 4-6 hours.
4. Five Habits of High Performing Teams
This workshop looks at the difference between winning and losing teams, and helps participants understand what goes into building effective teams. Participants can take an online survey prior to – or after – the workshop to assess the current level of their team. Upon mastering the five habits of effective teams, participants devise strategies for developing their teams. Time: 4 hours.
5. Leading at Light Speed
This workshop takes a global look at changes in communication and information transparency and considers what it means to be an effective leader in a time of accelerating change. It covers 10 quantum leaps that leaders need to make in order to create cultures of high performance. Participants learn the importance of building a high-performing culture in which trust and innovation flourish. This workshop is based on the book: “Leading at Light Speed.” An online survey is included in this workshop as well. Time: 4-6 hours.
